Two glossy manicures can look completely different. One gives you a soft wash of colour with a glass-like tip. The other puts a clear block of coral-pink at the end of every finger. Both can be simple; both can shine. The difference you are shopping for is colour coverage.
This matters when your idea of “natural-looking” means a delicate, translucent effect, while someone else means neat, evenly coloured nails. Neither person is wrong. They are just about to put quite different things in the basket.
Separate shine, shade and transparency
Shine is the reflection on the surface. Shade is the colour you see: peach, grey, coral or blue. Transparency describes how much you can see through the coloured area. A pale nail is not automatically sheer, and a glossy nail is not automatically transparent.
When comparing press on nails, decide which question matters most. Do you want a soft, see-through-looking edge? Or do you want a more uniform colour from the base to the tip? Start there before deciding whether the colour should be pink, beige or something brighter.
A sheer gradient changes across the nail
Nude Veil is described as a warm peach-nude base moving into a cool, translucent grey tip. Its product image shows a more concentrated peach area giving way to a much lighter edge. There are no flowers or crystals competing with that transition.
This is useful if you like the colour itself to do the decorating. Notice that the finish is not equally sheer everywhere: an ombré design can have different colour density along the same piece. If you want the whole nail to look completely clear, a peach-to-grey gradient is a different brief.

A bright solid colour can still look smooth and simple
Coral Jelly takes another approach. Its description specifies saturated, solid coral-pink with a high-gloss finish and a short oval shape. The pictured colour continues across each piece, without a contrasting French edge or a fade into a pale tip.
The name is a useful reminder to read beyond the label. “Jelly” might put a transparent sweet in your head, but this particular listing describes a solid-colour design. Shop the stated finish and the actual gallery, rather than expecting every product with a similar name to have the same transparency.

Ask what you want to remain visible
Suppose you want a subtle manicure for a week of ordinary errands and lunches. You like the airy appearance of translucent tips, and you are comfortable with the finished look being influenced by what sits underneath. A sheer design belongs on your shortlist.
If your priority is a more even colour field, start with designs explicitly described as solid. Even then, a photograph is not a guarantee that a set will completely conceal every natural nail line or every adhesive arrangement. If full coverage is essential to your choice, ask about that specific product before ordering.
For sheer-looking fake nails, ask whether the natural free edge or adhesive may be noticeable through the design. Follow the supplied application directions; adding extra adhesive, colour or layers to hide something can change the fit and is not a substitute for choosing suitable coverage.
Use the gallery to check your expectations
Compare the full layout with on-hand images. A bright white reflection is surface shine, so look at the coloured area beside it when judging the shade. Also remember that a white display background is different from a nail worn against skin. Screens and lighting can shift your impression of peach, pink and grey.
Both featured sets are described as handcrafted and finished by hand. That making process does not, by itself, tell you whether handmade press on nails will be sheer or solid. Likewise, reusable press on nails describes a possibility for later wear with appropriate application, gentle removal and intact pieces; it does not describe colour coverage.
Before buying, finish this sentence: “I want my nails to look ___, and I am comfortable seeing ___ through the design.” If you cannot fill in the second blank yet, compare the linked product galleries.
